Have you started receiving an error message when trying to log onto your system with a sa password? The login failed for user ‘SA’ because the account is currently locked out. This is because “Enforce password policy” is checked off in the settings in sa account.
Don’t worry; the solution to this problem is actually quite simple.
All you have to do is log into the SQL instance using windows authentication and run the following statement in sql: ALTER LOGIN sa WITH PASSWORD= ‘yourpassword’ UNLOCK. Then go to security/logins/sa/properties and uncheck “enforce password policy.” This should resolve the error.
