When you start Microsoft Management Reporter 2012 (MR 2012) you receive one of the following error messages: “A connection to the server could not be established. Check the server address and try again or contact your system administrator.” or “Can’t connect to the Management Reporter server.”
A simple quick check is to verify the times of the computers. By default, Management Reporter allows a five (5) minute variance in connections to the server. If the computer you are connecting from has their time or time zone out of sync, you can receive this error.
To fix the problem, make sure all of your times match and your time zone is set appropriately.
